2018 dates for European yarn festivals

Travels with yarn!

Whenever I travel abroad I look for yarn local to the place that I’m visiting. One of the easiest ways to track down local yarn in another country is to visit a yarn festival. You will discover many small companies spinning and dying beautiful yarns as well as farmers with flocks of indigenous sheep breeds. I think it’s important to support local producers and a beautiful hank of yarn will make a souvenir that keeps on giving. As you are knitting with that yarn and every time you wear whatever you knit from it you will be reminded of the place where you bought it.
